Brisbane Craft Show 2012

Hi There everyone,

I have been really busy lately,  However, I have recently been to the Brisbane Craft show which was fabulous, I met Tim Holz which was worth every minute of watching him in his talented atmospheric creating to his hearts content.  That guy is such a speedy artist, and very organised!  Hmmm I think I learnt some things about myself and how I go about my own creations... my gosh, I have wasted time here and there by doing fiddly stuff that is simply not required!  Anyway, the Craft show was fabulous... I wish we had one more than once per year, but sadly that is not on my Husbands wish list! LOL  How about my new signature below?  I love it, I love butterflies, so this was a very fitting signature for me :)

Easter comes but once a year, these are belated in posting - sorry!

Made with great pleasure for my Mum & Dad
Made a few cards for family, so this post will show the ones I took pictures of
This one had a fair amount of orange tones, not a colour I usually work with, but it turned out to be just gorgeous with the large bow
Cute addition of the colour mauve

Wedding Card for our Cousin Kerry in England

My Husband has a lovely cousin in England named Kerry, so when she showed me her Wedding Dress details and what the Bridesmaid would be wearing, this card was designed for her and her new husband to be, based on their Wedding theme colours :)
Butterfly close ups
Sneak peek inside!
On the inside
Inside the card, where we wrote our wishes for the Bride & Groom
Two butterflies cut out & attached to the inside

I hope you enjoyed this card, I certainly enjoyed making it :)

On Your Wedding Day

We recently attended a beautiful Wedding of our dear friends Donna & Bob on Stradbroke Island, in Queensland, it was a lot of fun and of course the bride was absolutely stunning.
I made them a lovely wedding card that reflected their wedding day as much as possible and also a message in a bottle for he precious Bride & Groom.
Here are the photos below for you to look at, thanks for stopping by today :)
My work this week was also entered into the following sites:
This was the entire gift package, more details and the inside of the card are in the photos below... Enjoy!

I found some gorgeous padded card stock which I used the die cut from Martha Stewart for extra detail

Just Couldn't resist decorating the top of the glass bottle...
The card reflected their Wedding day theme of the beach and also releasing of butterflies as you will see further in the card details with the butterfly card stock on the inside layers within the card

Beautiful butterfly card stock to reflect the precious part of their special day with the releasing of the butterflies

I added a cute detail of a satin & iridescent crystalline ribbon & bow on the first inside page

On the next inside page where the wording went, I added another ribbon & bow, this time it was satin heart ribbon I wanted to make the inside extra special by adding this detail.

The writing is my own hand written & heartfelt for the Bride & Grooms journey ahead together

Back inside page with my stamp

The bottle with the message in it

Couple more close ups

Now the final and my favourite part of the whole creative expression was the envelope, I hand made each flower and curled each petal, then added pearls and Crystals galore for extra exquisiteness!
I have loved sharing this with you today, I hope that you enjoyed it nearly as much as I did making it :)
Thanks for stopping by, I wish you lots of creative moments ahead :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I had so much fun making this cute little card, we have been invited to a Halloween Party at one of our friends, Back in New Zealand where we lived a few years back, Halloween was not celebrated, But here in Australia we have had a Halloween invite every year, it is just sooo much fun to be a part of :) We can't wait to celebrate this year once again! Check out my card below:
See how cute this Witch is, she is just adorable :) especially with the frogs hanging on!
Check out the Skulls in the designer paper!
I used Cuttlebug shaping for the background elements on the cardstock behind the witch
The flowers were carefully selected with Halloween in mind and carrying the colour of the frogs out to the outer edges of the card where possible for balance of my overall design of the card.
For the inside of this card, I decided to do a cute little Trick or Treat check list, as you can see
Then of course the written details to our friends of acceptance for their lovely invitation summed up with the cute little frog wearing the witches hat at the bottom right hand corner of the card
And I couldn't finish this blog post without showing you this cute little witch getting her treats with her pumpkin bowl, such adorable stamps!
these stamps can be found at: 7 Kinds College Fund
Thanks for stopping by, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Hugs Hayley :)

LITTLE BOY UNDER THE TREE

I haven't done a blog entry for so long...Sorry everyone, I have just been too unwell, however I made this cute little card for my Brother In-Law, I'm sure he will like it, I loved making it, it was just such a cute picture and the black & white really stands out :)
Isn't it cute? but quite manly with the colours I've chosen :)
I loved the detail of the button and ribbon threaded through it
Thanks for visiting me today :)

TOOTH FAIRY BOX

A simple matchbox.....
turned into something cute, whimsical, and very girly!
My creative thoughts went to town on this one, a Tooth Fairy box! made from paper with fairies & Butterflies, flowers & gems... glitter here & there, and a few pearls along with way for the fairies earrings etc...
I have entered this into a few places, check out the sites below:
Below are a few more angles of the tooth fairy box
The little round note token says:
Dear Tooth Fairy, please be careful opening the box, a special tooth is inside.
I balanced all the blue and mauve out with a few bright colored flowers.
This is the other side of the box, both sides are uniquely different
I have also used a liquid application in various places to leave a wet look
as you will be able to see in a few photo's
Thanks for popping by today

Pretty in Tulips

Hi Everyone, today I have a nice card to share with you, I had a rather busy weekend, so I was hoping I would have posted this card before now, never mind... no rest for the wicked ... as they say! hahhahahaa
The stamp is from Bugaboo she is cute all dressed up in tulips, and of course pretty in pink :)
I added some butterflies from other paper that I had, so I took time to cut them out, and as you can see, pretty gems & glitter, and card stock to compliment the pretty papers, quite a refreshing card I think :)
I entered the card into the following sites:
Cute Card Thursday - where the sketch came from
Crafty Creations Challenges - Challenge # 81 - use butterflies
Flutter by Wednesday - use of butterfly, fairy or angels challenge
The sketch from Cute Card Thursday was a straight sketch, I turned mine slightly to the left to add further dimension and make it more interesting. Here are a few more angle's as below
As you can see the Butterflies are not completely glued down, I decided to make them look like they were flying by letting one part of the wing come out from the card to add further dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a great day :)
